Misc Air Fryer Recipes
Nov. 29th, 2024 06:33 pmYep, I got an airfryer. It's pretty good so far! We have a Ninja Max.
Smores: Pull a marshmallow in half and put on top of a Marie biscuit, making sure it's firmly stuck on. Put on a solid based object like a silicone tray, NOT on anything light like foil/paper which will blow away. Bake (not airfry!) at 180C, for 3 minutes unpreheated, or 1.5 minutes preheated (check at 1.5 minutes either way) to get it toasty. Bake 3 minutes at 160C for less toasty.
Chicken Shnitzel or fish pieces: 10 minutes at 200C, turning halfway through.
Toasted Sandwich: Sprinkle with water, wrap firmly in foil, 5 minutes airfry 200C. If you don't do the first two steps you get a toast sandwich which is not what I want but isn't inherently bad.
Caramelised Banana: Chop a very ripe banana, sprinkle with sugar and pecans, spray with cooking oil. 5 minutes airfry 200C.
Chops:
Toss with oil, salt, and pepper
Preheat to 200C
4 minutes each side air fry 200C. Baking paper wasn't enough to contain the grease, silicone basket increases cook time a few minutes each side.
Chicken thigh and broccoli:
Parboil brocolli 2.5 mins in mircowave with a little water
Roast chicken at 170C 25 mins, turn halfway. Add broccoli in last 10 mins.
Ok but not really worth the effort:

Fried potatoes. I might prefer roasted?
Abject failure I will not reattempt any time soon:
Omelette, roasted broccolini
